After dear Toby passed away, Chuck brought home Riley — a maltese/poodle.¬† He and Lauren will grow up together.

- Pretty in Pink!
Saade had a couple weekends of work in Florida, so Nelli, Leela and he picked up and flew to the beach to visit friends and family. Nelli complained of clouds following them from one end of the state to the other so no suntan for her. Not even three months old and Leela’s had her first airplane ride!
Five years later…

Life in Brooklyn

“Rench” living
July 25th, 2009Lauren came out to the ranch for a fun-filled two days. We visited Dusty Price and his family. Dusty had a miniature donkey and some mini horses. Lauren got quite a kick out that. Dusty’s expression is priceless. He’s such a sweet person.
Pop and I enjoyed watching Lauren “wim.” Splashing is always fun, no matter the age.
Time is flying
July 25th, 2009…and I’m having a hard time keeping up. Miss Leela is now almost two months old. Isn’t she a beauty?
His name is…..NICKY
July 25th, 2009Finally found a quality papillon puppy that I could afford. Edd and I picked Nicky up in Lovington from Jennifer, a breeder in Carlsbad. Nicky is 11 weeks old now and weighs 3 pounds. Jennifer thinks he’ll end up weighing about 8 pounds when he’s grown. I’m becoming well-trained as we go through the house breaking process. Isn’t he a cutie?
Good story….I ordered something from 1-800 pet meds on the internet. Freebie included a “bag” that would hold a dog…a-la-Paris Hilton. So Nicky and I went to Walmart….the infamous “can’t bring your dog here.” I placed him in the bag, zipped the top, walked inside, put the bag in the front of the shopping cart and away we went. No one was the wiser. Nicky behaved nicely: never whined…finally just fell asleep!

June 24th, 2009Where had the time gone? We’ve been to Brooklyn and back…I’m sure Nelli and Saade were glad to see their guests go….fish and three days, huh, Jay? 
Miz Leela’s statistics after a month on this earth: She weighs 9lbs-4oz, up from 7lbs-1oz and is 22″, up from 21″…and look at this girl smile!
